Bye Policy NO BYES OR EARLY WITHDRAWALS, These are round robin quads, so please plan on playing all 3 rounds. Missing a game by forfeit or early dropout loses prize eligibility. (In addition, a penalty, which must be paid before being paired in future events, may be imposed at organizer's discretion) | |
USCF quick rated quads, This event is held in a restaurant atmosphere, so there is no guarantee of a quiet playing environment. Players' live quick ratings are used for pairing purposes. In instances when an unpaid, prize-ineligible house player is added to a quad in order to even out an odd number of total players, 1st prize for that quad only will be reduced to $40, (and proportionately for a swiss if applicable) as odds of winning the prize for paid players in that quad are increased from 1 in 4 to 1 in 3. |
