Each parent/guardian is responsible for their dependent’s (participant’s) safety and behavior.
As a condition of entry, you agree that Colorado State Chess Association, its organizers and managers, are not responsible for you or your dependent’s safety, the actions of other attendees, or conditions at the tournament site. By entering, you are waiving any and all claims you might have in the future against Colorado State Chess Association., its organizers and managers, for damages or injury of any kind arising out of this tournament, even if it may be due to negligence or carelessness of the organizers.
You also agree to pay any property damages to the tournament site caused by yourself or your dependents.
You further agree to hold Colorado State Chess Association., its organizers and managers harmless, and indemnify them generally and specifically, from all such liability. 


2. All entries must be received by Saturday, February 16 (contact Todd below for a hardcopy mail-in entry form).
3. No entries will be allowed at the door.     
4. A player sending in an incomplete, inaccurate or unreadable form will receive a first round 0 (zero) point bye. Corrections to his/her form will be made during the first round.

Player list of those registered for the tournament can be found at starting sometime in January.

This years’ K-1 State Championship will be held on Saturday, February 23. This is a five round Swiss system tournament. All rated and unrated K-1 players are invited. Your K-1 child does not need to be a United States Chess Federation member to play in this division. Players will play all 5 rounds. The top 5 players will receive 1st through 5th place trophies. All other players will receive participation trophies.

For the main tournament all participants must have a current United States Chess Federation membership (USCF).  You will be responsible to make sure your USCF membership is current.
