| The Denver Chess Club meets on Tuesday nights at the Grant Avenue Community Center and Sacred Place, Inc. at 216 South Grant (3 blocks east of Broadway in the South Broadway area) in Denver. The club meets from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m. Players may come and play pick up games (regular, quick and blitz) at no charge provided the sound level is kept to a minimum. There is a rated game every week as a part of a month-long G90 tournament with registration closing at 6:45 (you may call ahead if you are running late). The cost for the rated game is $6 for members and $8 for non Denver Chess Club members. There are also lectures presented between 6:00 and 7:00 periodically. In addition, the Denver Chess Club will soon run Saturday tournaments again after losing a previous free site. New location for the Aurora Chess Club! Sadly, after 20+ years we are no longer meeting at the Aurora Central Library. Now we meet at the Smoky Hill Library (Smoky Hill and Biscay) All interested person are hereby invited to see our new home. Contact me for questions; Jeff, 303-210-2160. We are keeping our normal time and day; Saturdays, 1-4 pm. They move us (our room) around so be alert and look around... we are there!
Chess Knights meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday Evening from 7-9pm. From 470 & Broadway, on Broadway go 1.3 miles south, at the light, turn right onto Highland Ranch Parkway, go 0.2 miles, to the first light, turn left onto Ridgeline Blvd., go 0.2 miles, the library is on the left.
